FROM MERIDA

The city of Merida, Yucatan´s capital, was founded in 1542 and combines Spanish and indigenous heritage with some Caribbean ethnic traits. In its historic center visit the oldest cathedral on the American continent, the Christ and the historical murals of the Government Palace, tour the leafy Paseo de Montejo Avenue, the traditional suburb Itzimná and the Park of the Americas, among others.

Visit the archaeological site of Dzibilchaltún, home to the 'House of Dolls' (one of the most emblematic Maya buildings) and the Museum of the Mayan people.

Finish the day by diving into the sea of ​​Puerto Progreso, where eat delicious dishes based on fish and seafood.
